As an entrepreneur, Gordon successfully founded three technology companies, two with successful exits and one still privately held. He has invested in and mentored numerous other early-stage companies. Prior to running his own companies, Gordon taught leadership programs and facilitated teams in a variety of settings ranging from corporate retreats to intensive backcountry, wilderness-based programs.
His experience enables him to quickly understand and address the issues his clients face. He has experienced first hand the challenges, frustrations and joys of running his own businesses, and knows how to facilitate potentially challenging situations where management teams are not aligned and conflicts exist.

Gordon specializes in working with management teams interested in scaling quickly or positioning their businesses for an eventual transition in leadership or ownership. He also specializes in high conflict situations that are currently limiting promising businesses. Clients range from high growth start-ups to privately held mid-sized businesses. Depending on the client, Gordon will also selectively invest in his clients through a direct investment and/or converting a portion of his fees into equity.
